Across the lake rages a fire that started a couple of days ago. The flames fly off of the mountain and the smoke fills the air all around. While this is a tragic event and a struggle for a lot of people, it managed to put on quite a show this evening at sunset. I give you the setting sun
I have left a note on the crane's windshield informing the operator
that he can never park there again.

i'm glad you caught this.
also, the first thing i thought of when i saw the first picture was, "i'm glad he included the crane as part of the composition rather than trying to fight against it. it makes an interesting dynamic." other photographers wouldn't be so wise.

Mmmm...beautiful! And I like the crane too, actually. Thanks for sharing what I can't usually see from the lower kingdom down in the valley. =)
